Filtrul habitaclu , denumit si filtru de polen , este componenta autovehiculului , al carui rol este cel de a retine toate noxele din aerul care patrunde in habitaclul autovehiculului .
Echiparea unui autovehicul cu filtru de polen , va asigura in compartimentul pasagerilor , un aer proaspat si sanatos , deoarece se vor retine particulele de praf , bacteriile , polenul , oxizii de azot si toate celelalte noxe provenite de la autovehiculele aflate in trafic. Schimbarea trebuie facuta la intervale de cel mult 15.000 km , insa trebuie stiut ca in timpul iernii , din cauza umiditatii , filtrul este foarte solicitat diminuandu-se capacitatea de filtrare , producatorii recomandand o schimbare dupa fiecare iarna .
